6/1- Science Experiment presentations meet on zoom to listen to projects on Thursday, June 4th at 1pm. All completed work should be emailed regardless of attendance on Zoom.

Week 10- Assignment dates 5/26-5/29

Directions:

Please complete the following pages in order daily. Assignments for Forms of Energy and Scientific Method Project pages will be sent to you by email.

1.Complete Chapter 12 Review Pages 520-521. 1-10 you may write the vocabulary answers only. 11-15 should be answered in full sentences.

2. Forms of Energy with assignment pages.

3. Begin research on your Scientific Method project. Project Due 6/4 Be prepared to share with the class on Zoom.

Please complete the following pages in order daily. Zoom meeting this Thursday 5/21 at 1pm. Please make sure to print out Quick Lab previous to meeting and to have all the materials needed with you when we meet.

4.Quick Lab. Pages 216 & 217. Meet on Zoom- Please make sure your Quick Lab is printed out. You also should have a piece of paper, rubber band, shoe box (or any small box), and a ruler. (the ruler is optional)

5. Instead of completing Think, Talk, & Write please complete the health link on page 517. Make a Poster. Your poster may be made on an 8 x 10 piece of paper.

3.Continue Chapter 11 Review. Page 475 Complete 11-16 and Test prep. Please write a full sentence for answers.

Directions:

Please complete the following pages in order daily. On Friday you will need two bottles for the Quick Lab. They may be any size or kind of bottles such as: Soda bottles, water bottles, juice bottles etc.

1.Complete Think, Talk, and Write on page 439. You may skip question 2.

2. Quick Lab for Lesson 1. Complete attached Lab. After completing How Many Can You Do In 100 seconds, look  at page 437 in the science text book. Add words such as straight line, Round and round, zigzag, back and forth  to your Quick Lab. Challenge…. Which did you not complete? Add more on the back of the page that would include the other types of Motion.

3.Read pages 440 & 441. Next complete Lesson 2 Forces.  Read pages 444-449. Complete Vocabulary in your science journal.

4. Complete Think,  Talk, and Write on page 449. Skip #2.

5. Complete Quick Lab attached link page 193. You may print it out or if you do not have access to a printer write it out in your science journal.

3rd Grade Science- 

Week 4- Assignment dates: 4/6

Directions:

Please complete the following pages in order daily. On Monday the students will be baking for science. If you do not have any of the choices listed below please see alternative link.

  1. Make ONE item together WITH an adult. Muffins, cake, or any type of bread such as banana.

Answer the following questions from page 416 in your textbook. Look and Wonder. Have you ever baked a cake? Why doesn’t a cake taste like the ingredients it is made from? What happens to the ingredients to make them taste different? Write your answers in your journal. Take a picture of your baked item and send it along with your answers.

If you do not have any of the baking ingredients, please watch the YouTube video and answer the questions based on the video.

Directions: Before getting started, at the end of the week students will need white vinegar for their quick lab. If you do not have any or can not get any please complete the alternative activity, cut and paste.
