SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES FOR WEEK OF 3/23

Life without Art would be a lot less colorful!

Until I see your smiling faces again, here are some suggestions to keep art in your life.

You can do 1 or 2 or all 4 – take your pick.  All you need is a pencil and paper.  Add color with crayons, markers or colored pencils. Have fun!

Be safe, stay well, God bless.  Mrs. Peterson

1 – Signs of Spring –Go or look outside.  What do you see, what do you hear?  Draw Spring!!

2- Laugh! – Create your own comic strip.

  • Step 1: Pick a character.
  • Step 2: Sketch your character. Do a few sketches of your character on scratch paper. …
  • Step 3: Think of a story …
  • Step 4: Make 1 or more frames for the story
  • Step 5: Bring your comic to life!

3- We use our hands to draw, now use your hands to make animals.  See how many animals you can make by changing the position of your hands and fingers.  If you need some ideas make shadow animals with your hands by using a flashlight against a wall in a dark room. Then put your hands in the same position on the paper and trace.

4- Keep smiling – look in a mirror and draw a self- portrait of the person smiling back ! J

Try making a self-portrait from behind!
