Effective December 15, 2021
We recently learned that the State of New Jersey is in the Orange or “High” category for Covid transmission rates.
Due to the Orange status level, quarantine guidelines have been updated. While we are at the “Orange” level any non-vaccinated student or staff considered a close contact will need to quarantine for 14 days. According to the CDC, close contact is anyone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. The quarantine timeline starts the day after last exposure with a positive Covid case.
As soon as Bergen County reports Moderate or Low (yellow or green), exposed close contacts can go back to the previous quarantine period (10 days or 7 days with a negative test collected at day 5-7). There is no exception to this rule while Bergen County is in orange or red.
If your student has been vaccinated and you would like to share the information with the school, please send a copy of the card to email@example.com.
