The students in 7th grade did a lab which illustrated the different densities of liquids. Each liquid had a different density and therefor took a different level in the graduated cylinder. This showed the students the order of the density. The most dense was located on the bottom and the least dense was on the top. The order of layers shows the order of increasing density. The most dense was maple syrup, followed by antifreeze, dish detergent, shampoo, water, and corn oil was on the top. To find the density of a liquid one needs to find its mass and divide by the volume.
